A full-bodied first harvest matcha selected for depth, texture and presence in milk.

PRESENCE opens with sweetness and a rich green aroma. Made with Saemidori, a cultivar known for its elegant sweetness and smooth umami, the leaves are carefully shaded to develop deep green character, natural sweetness and rounded umami. In milk, its depth and texture create a velvety, satisfying matcha latte with enough presence to shine through while remaining balanced.

For a matcha latte, body and intensity matter, but umami needs balance. Too much can compete with the milk and disturb the harmony of the drink, while too little depth can leave a harsh, grassy taste. PRESENCE sits in the balance: full-bodied, smooth and rich, with a clean finish.

Ingredients

JAS-certified organic green tea

Origin

Kagoshima, Japan

Located in southern Japan, Kagoshima is one of Japan’s leading tea-producing regions, known for its warm climate, volcanic soil and early harvest season.

Its teas are shaped not only by the land, but also by skilled producers who bring out the best in each cultivar through careful cultivation and processing.

Cultivar

Saemidori

Saemidori is a cultivar sometimes referred to as the yokozuna of Japanese tea, a nod to the highest rank in sumo and its highly regarded status among Japanese tea cultivars. Known for its pronounced umami, it offers an elegant richness with a refined sweetness that unfolds on the palate. It is also known for containing naturally occurring compounds such as theanine and quercetin.

Please note that, in order to maintain the best flavour, other cultivars may be blended depending on the batch.
